Our program is based on a philosophy that includes being child-centered and promoting problem solving. This is done be providing an environment that promotes this as well as providing great teachers and staff. Our teachers are warm, nurturing, and knowledgeable about child development. They are trained and committed to our philosophy.
Our program is dedicated to meeting all the individual needs of each and every child. We encourage them to be free, to be children and put not only their physical but also their emotional and intellectual well being first. We believe in letting kids do what they do best. Children learn best through play and social interactions.
The problem-solving environment includes developmentally appropriate toys and equipment in each room that promotes problem solving and a staff that is trained in promoting this. The teachers use various methods to do this such as active listening, negotiation, setting limits, affirmations. The teachers will modify the environment as needed to promote this also.
